Kelley Construction Contractors, Inc. is a family-owned, locally operated general contractor providing residential remodeling, roofing, siding, decks, and room additions, along with commercial roofing, exteriors, and interior buildouts, throughout Peoria and Central Illinois since 1994.
Every project starts with an actual visual design of the finished result, so you’re approving a real plan rather than guessing from a sample board. You’ll also have direct access to company leadership, from your first estimate through the final walkthrough.

Mike Kelley founded this company in 1994 with a straightforward goal: deliver quality construction and remodeling work to homeowners and businesses across Central Illinois. More than 30 years later, that goal hasn’t changed, even as the company has grown from a single founder into a team with offices in Pekin, Peoria, and Normal.
Today, Kelley Construction handles residential remodeling, roofing, siding, decks, and room additions, as well as commercial roofing, exteriors, and interior buildouts. We’ve stayed a family-owned business through that growth on purpose, not because it was the easiest path, but because it keeps decisions in the hands of people who actually answer for the work afterward.
Committing to a construction or remodeling project usually means trusting a contractor’s promise of how the finished result will look, with little to go on beyond a sample board or a verbal description. We do this differently. Before any work begins, our design team builds a visual model of your actual project, so you’re approving a real plan rather than guessing at the outcome.
That same level of access carries through the rest of the project. Mike Kelley stays personally involved in projects today, not just at the start. If a decision needs to be made once work is underway, you’re talking to someone who can actually make it, not waiting on approval from someone who’s never seen your property.
The visualization process and the access to leadership matter because of what stands behind them. Over three decades, we’ve built a crew of experienced carpenters and estimators, not filled gaps with subcontractors we’ve never worked with before. We handle a project from permits through final delivery, so you’re not coordinating between separate companies for connected work.
Every project comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty, and every roof comes with a 5-year warranty, both on top of whatever the material manufacturer already covers.
Six values guide how we work, on every project, every time.
Mike Kelley founded Kelley Construction Contractors, Inc. in 1994 and continues to lead the company today as CEO and President, with direct, hands-on involvement in projects rather than a name on a website. His focus has stayed the same from day one: “Our focus on quality has always been number one to me. That’s why for every job I insist on quality material combined with professional installation to ensure a completed project that will last well into the future.”
Taylor Carr serves as Vice President, providing leadership and oversight to keep projects on track from estimate through completion.
